The 2006 Saturn Ion is another in the long line of Saturn cars that are attempting to bring quality to owners at a reasonable price. This new Saturn is not only more powerful than Saturn cars in the past, but it also brings some of the more modern comforts into the equation. Certain features, such as added Onstar assistance, make this car a great deal for any economy mindful owner.
As an owner of the Ion2 sedan, I’m able to enjoy four door comforts in a seemingly small sedan. Though the 140 horsepower, four cylinder engine is not the biggest or most powerful motor in this sedan class, it does give enough power to get this car through traffic. In general, it does not feel like the engine is that small.
My Ion features an automatic transmission, but other Ions come with an optional manual transmission, adding quite a bit of sportiness to the equation. With Saturn, safety is always a concern and that is once again the case for the 2006 Ion. It is equipped with airbags just about everywhere, including side curtain airbags to protect the head in case of an accident.
If it’s comfort that you are looking for, then the Ion also has some of that. Leather seats and full leather interior are the norm for most Saturn Ions and create a nice inside atmosphere. The split folding read seats are also a very good feature for this consumer conscious car.
If you are looking for a great car at a great price, the 2006 Saturn Ion is one of the best cars on the market. With added features like standard Onstar service and side curtain airbags, Saturn is looking out for its customers. Beyond that, they are interested in not only getting you to your destination, but doing so in comfort.
