The current line of BMW vehicles is broke up into 10 Series. To help distinguish the different models, BMW uses the following naming pattern (with a few exceptions to these rules). Most models have a 3-digit number followed by 1 or 2 letters. The First number designates the series, the following 2 numbers usually represent the displacement of the engine in cubic centimeters / 100. The letters usually designate the following.
