23rd Annual Show n Shine & Fly-In- Saturday October 13 2012- 7am-3pm
Cameron Park Air Park is unique, it is situated in the community of Cameron Park, in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California.
Residents of the Airpark have hangers attached to their homes for the planes and extra wide roads to taxi to and from the runway.
Once a year the Air Park residents let us hold the Cameron Park Show & Shine and Fly-In.
A classic car and airplane show with vendor booths, pancake breakfast, food, live bands, Ponderosa High School Marching Band, D.J. Kids Zone and local radio station 92.5 plus awards and trophies.
The show is organized by Soroptimist International of Cameron Park & El Dorado Hills, along with Cameron Park Rotary and Saturday October 13th will be the 23rd year.
Show cars pay $30 entry fee, $25 for pre-registration, airplanes are free, residents can park their planes in their driveways, vendors $50 for a booth and free to the public, $3 for parking.
Last year we had 250 cars and 35 airplanes including a Black Hawk helicopter and 2 aerobatic planes owned by local resident Julie Clark This attracted over 3000 spectators.
This event is run by Soroptimists and Rotarians volunteering their time to make this community fundraiser a success. In 2011 we raised $12,300, which is split between the 2 clubs and goes towards funding local programs.
